Alusta Platform — Deform and Re-form, Oct 1–31, 2024

Uphill was exhibited in Deform and Re-form, curated by the Alusta platform at Helsinki Central Library Oodi. The piece is a single high-resolution image generated through custom p5.js code, using pattern logic derived from Cellular Automata. The resulting form is a fixed outcome from the system — a captured moment rather than a live process.

Displayed on Oodi’s large public screens, the work gained a strong physical presence through scale and placement. It was visible both inside the main hall and from the exterior plaza through the building’s glass façade, functioning as an open, pass-through installation. The public setting emphasized the tension embedded in the image’s structure.
