Title inspired from the 1971 dystopian crime film directed by Stanley Kubrick, based on Anthony Burgess’s novel “A Clockwork Orange”. The importance of evil as well as good in human nature is a fundamental theme of the movie.
The film looks into ideas of mind control and government manipulation, most clearly in the iconic scene in which Alex is restrained in a chair whilst his eyes are prised open and he is subjected to scenes of violence whilst listening to Beethoven.
The generative artwork is crafted with code in p5js and random Cellular Automata rules, with each iteration being unique and metaphorically representing the human eye.
