Tezos: a Humanitarian Hub for Global Causes
Beyond its technological capabilities, Tezos has also served as a platform for various humanitarian initiatives around the world.
In response to the 2023 earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the Tezos community has set up donation opportunities to recognised, independent relief organisations.
Similarly, during the 2022 floods in Pakistan, the Tezos community came together to provide aid and support for those affected. In late August, torrential monsoon triggered the biggest climate related disasters in history: a third of Pakistans landmass is submerged in water affecting tens of millions of people, washing away houses, destroying crops, hospitals, schools.
In the wake of the historic protests against the killing of young Iranian women, Teia has set up a charity fundraiser in solidarity with the protests and to raise awareness for womens rights in Iran.
